Stuart Morris MCSP
Stuart qualified from the Wolverhampton School of Physiotherapy in 1991 with a BSc in Physiotherapy. He gained extensive experience within the NHS and also worked in New Zealand as a Senior Physiotherapist. In 1996 he moved into private practice and also worked at the Manchester City Football Club & Sports Injuries Clinic. In 2003 Stuart entered into partnership to set up the Leigh Road Physiotherapy & Sports Injuries Clinic where he is the Practice Principal.
Stuart has established the clinic as a quality provider of physiotherapy treatment and has developed a loyal client base within Boothstown, Worsley and the surrounding areas. Stuart is a specialist in musculoskeletal conditions and uses acupuncture along with more conventional physiotherapy techniques to ensure successful treatment. As well as his clinical practice, Stuart offers talks to local GPs on various aspects of physiotherapy treatment and has worked closely with specialist consultants on a variety of complex cases.
Joanne Day MCSP HPC
Joanne qualified from Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 1998. She then worked for five years in the NHS for the South Manchester University Hospital Trust progressing to a Senior Physiotherapist level. She spent three years at The Platt Lane Sports Injuries Clinic which involved working with the England’s Men’s Lacrosse team. Joanne has also worked with Lancashire and North of England under 16’s rugby teams. She has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation and attends regular specialist led courses and conferences. In addition to her clinical practice, Joanne also provides a one-to-one Pilates tuition service and is qualified in acupuncture.
Having originally started in a background of personal training following a BSc in Sports Science, Mike graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. He initial worked in the NHS at Bolton PCT and then with 5 Boroughs Partnership Foundation, Liverpool as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. Mike joined the clinic in 2010 and has since completing his MSc in Manual Therapy. He provides physiotherapy cover for Manchester United Academy teams delivering pitch side intervention and injury rehabilitation at an elite level. Mike is Acupuncture and Pilates trained and provides a one-to-one Pilates tuition service in addition to his clinical practice and has undergone specialised training for vestibular assessment and rehabilitation.
Mike has undergone specialised training to BPPV. Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo is a common vestibular condition, which affects the inner ear and causes dizziness. It is very effectively treated by physiotherapy with the Epley manoeuvre once it is correctly diagnosed.
Nick has a Degree in Sports Rehabilitation and a Masters Degree in Sports Injury Rehabilitation. He has a wealth of experience gained with Professional Football Clubs, a Super League Rugby Club, within team sports at a well-established private school and specialist sports injuries clinics. In addition Nick has completed placements with Orthopaedic Consultants within surgery and orthopaedic and fracture clinics and he has worked with the NHS Sports Rehabilitation Team providing diagnosis and treatment of injuries. He is a member of BASRaT, the UK regulator for Sports Rehabilitation.
The Admin Team
We have a friendly, approachable and professional team who provide administrative support to the physiotherapists as well as dealing with all enquiries from patients and the general public.

Claire Reynolds, Practice Manager
Claire joined the clinic in 2006 and is responsible for the day to day running of the clinic and reception. She has gained an extensive knowledge of private practice and is happy to answer any questions you may have including health insurance, invoices, consultants etc.
Judith Little, Receptionist/Secretary
Judith joined the clinic in 2008 and is a valuable member of our reception team. As well as providing our reception and secretarial services on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, Judith has gained a wealth of experience and therefore provides cover for our practice manager.
Diane Owen, Receptionist/Secretary
Diane is our newest member having joined the clinic in summer 2011 and she has quickly become an essential part of the team. She provides our reception service on Monday and Thursday evenings as well as a secretarial support service to all our clinical team.
